Helpful FAQs
The operation buttons occasionally do not respond when controlling the robot through the APP.

1. When the APP connects to the robot through Wi-Fi, an unstable Wi-Fi signal may cause intermittent control.

2. Try connecting the APP to the robot through AP direct connection.

What should I do if it prompts a password error when connecting to the robotic dog?

The robotic dog cannot set a personal private password, but the account is uniquely bound, fully ensuring the security of the robotic dog's binding.

When controlling the robot via the APP, clicking the operation button sometimes fails to respond

When the APP connects to the robot via WiFi, unstable WiFi signals will lead to unstable control

The APP connects to the robot using the AP direct connection method

In guided tour mode, a “Navigation Failed” error appears after tapping “Start Tour.”

Check and remove noise points from the map.

How to Disconnect/Unbind the Machine Dog from the APP

When the prompt is bound by the user, the following methods can be used to disconnect:

1. Provide the serial number of the robotic dog (a string starting with A2307 in SNg) to Magic Atom's after-sales service, and the background will unbind it.

2. There is a pin-like icon in the upper left corner of the APP remote control interface. After clicking it, "Confirm whether to disconnect", confirm "Yes", and the APP will jump to

On the "User Device" interface, click the two small triangles below the name of the bound robotic dog to enter the second interface, click the "Trash Can" button in the upper right corner of the small icon, and confirm "Yes".

3. Settings -- More -- Unbind -- Confirm

Interpretation of Facial Light Colors

Red - Abnormal (If it cannot be restored after restarting, please record the details of the abnormality and promptly contact after-sales for technical support)

White - Normal

Yellow - Low Battery -- Immediately end the current task, shut down, and charge the robot battery

Green - Charging Status -- and facial charging expression when charging

In guided tour mode, a “Navigation Failed” error appears while the robot is following the tour route.

Check and remove noise points from the map.

How does the robotic dog charge, and how long does the charging take?

Use the provided charger, insert the charger plug into the charging port of the robotic dog, and then connect the charger to a power outlet. Generally, it is recommended to fully charge the battery for the first time. Subsequent charging can be done when the battery level is low. It usually takes about 3 hours to fully charge, and refer to the product manual for the specific time.

The robot cannot connect to the APP and displays the prompt "Bluetooth/Wi-Fi connection timed out". How can this be resolved?

Bluetooth connection issues:

1. Check Bluetooth permissions: Ensure that the phone has granted the APP "Bluetooth access permission" and "Location permission" (some phones require enabling location to search for Bluetooth devices);

2. Proximity connection: Bring the phone close to the robot (distance ≤ 1m), restart the robot's Bluetooth (while the robot is powered on, long press the "Bluetooth reset button" for 3 seconds, and the indicator light flashing indicates successful reset), and search for a connection again;

3. Clear cache: Find the corresponding app in the phone's "Settings - App Management", clear the "cache data", and then reopen the app to try.

Wi-Fi connection issues (Wi-Fi-only models):

1. Confirm the Wi-Fi frequency band: The robot only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (does not support 5GHz). You need to connect your phone to a 2.4GHz network, and then enter the Wi-Fi password in the APP;

2. Troubleshoot network interference: Move away from strong electromagnetic interference sources such as routers and microwave ovens, or restart the router and reconnect;

In guided tour mode, the robot only plays the narration and does not perform an action after reaching a waypoint.

1. A waypoint stunt action may not have been configured. Check whether a stunt action has been added in the waypoint task settings.

2. Check whether “AI-Generated Action” is selected. When using this option, the configured narration must be longer than 10 seconds.

How to maintain the battery of a robotic dog?

Avoid overcharging and over-discharging, and try to charge the battery when the remaining power is around 20%-30%. When not in use for an extended period, it is recommended to charge the battery to around 50%-60%, remove it for storage, and perform a charge-discharge cycle on the battery every once in a while to maintain its activity.

How to upgrade the robot firmware, and what should be noted during the upgrade process?

Upgrade Steps:

1. Preparation: Ensure the robot's battery level is ≥50%, the mobile phone is connected to a stable network (Wi-Fi is recommended), find the "Firmware Upgrade" option in the APP's "My Devices", and check if there is a new version;

2. Start the upgrade: Click "Upgrade Now", and the APP will automatically download the firmware package and transfer it to the robot. During the transfer process, the robot's indicator light will flash (e.g., blue flashing);

3. Wait for completion: During the upgrade, the robot will automatically restart. After restarting, a steady indicator light (e.g., steady green) indicates a successful upgrade, and the APP will prompt "Upgrade completed".

Precautions:

1. During the upgrade process, it is strictly prohibited to cut off power (from the robot or mobile phone) or disconnect, otherwise it may lead to firmware damage (requiring return to the factory for repair);

2. If the upgrade fails (e.g., the prompt shows "Firmware verification error"), first check the network stability, delete the APP cache, and then try again. If it fails multiple times, contact customer service to obtain the "offline firmware package" and upgrade the robot by connecting it via a USB cable;

3. After the upgrade, it is recommended to perform "Function Self-Test" ("Diagnostic Mode - Full Function Self-Test" in the APP) to confirm that all functions are normal.

In guided tour mode, localization fails after setting the robot’s initial position.

1. Check whether the dragged icon matches the robot’s current position and whether its orientation is correct.

2. The robot cannot be localized inside a virtual wall, near map noise, or within a restricted area. Select a valid position and try localization again.

How to clean and maintain the robotic dog?

Regularly wipe the body with a clean and soft cloth, clean the surface dust of components such as the camera and sensors, and avoid scratching the lens with hard objects. For the dust inside the ventilation holes, a vacuum cleaner can be used regularly to remove it. If any laggy or abnormal conditions are found in parts such as the joints of the robotic dog, please contact after-sales service for inspection and maintenance. It is strictly prohibited to use alcohol or other organic solvents to clean the robotic dog.

When the robot is charging, it prompts "Battery temperature too high" and cannot charge. How to handle this?

1. First, stop charging, move the robot to a well-ventilated and cool place (ambient temperature of 20-25°C is optimal), let it stand for 30 minutes until the battery temperature drops below 35°C (the temperature can be checked via the "Battery Status" in the APP);

2. Check the charging environment: Charging is prohibited in direct sunlight, near heating / air conditioning vents, or in enclosed spaces (such as wardrobes, boxes) to avoid poor battery heat dissipation;

3. Check the charger: Use the original charger, check if the charger plug and data cable are damaged, or try replacing it with another original charger (to rule out charger malfunctions);

4. If the device still indicates an overheating issue after standing still, connect to the APP to check the battery cycle count ("Battery Status - Cycle Count"). If it exceeds 500 cycles, it may be due to battery aging. You need to contact after-sales service to check the battery health and replace the battery if necessary.
