    As one of the world's top four design honors, the Red Dot Design Award has been known as the "Oscars of Design" since its inception in 1955.     Seamless Engineering and Modular Architecture: "Xiaomai" Sets New Standards

    Magiclab Robotics' full-sized general-purpose humanoid robot, "Xiaomai," stands 174 cm tall. Combining high-density motors with compliant joint technology, the robot features 42 Degrees of Freedom (DoF) across its body, enabling smooth, natural motion and precise execution of delicate tasks. A major design highlight lies in its modular architecture, which provides high scenario scalability and environmental adaptability for diverse deployments.

    • Industrial Manufacturing: Xiaomai is equipped with a self-developed 11-DoF dexterous hand delivering a hand-specific payload of 5 kg, an overall operational payload exceeding 20 kg, and force resolution down to 0.1 N—supporting high-precision operations such as electronic assembly and industrial dispensing.

    • Commercial Services: Xiaomai transitions flexibly across multiple roles, including commercial guide, event host, and interactive presenter.

    Magiclab Robotics has achieved over 90% in-house development for core hardware, building an integrated pipeline from environmental perception and intelligent decision-making to high-precision execution.

    Design Aesthetics and Human-Centric Interaction

    In terms of industrial design and human-robot interaction, Magiclab Robotics presents a refined aesthetic approach. The robot's frame follows the golden ratio of the human body to deliver a balanced visual proportion. Utilizing metal casting alongside localized injection molding, the structural design strikes an optimal balance between mechanical strength and flexibility. A specialized soft-rubber sole design absorbs motion impact and minimizes walking noise, allowing the robot to integrate seamlessly into complex indoor environments across residential and commercial settings.

    Departing from the cold appearance of traditional industrial robots, Xiaomai features a minimalist streamlined contour complemented by skin-friendly fabric covers and rounded-corner engineering. This significantly increases emotional warmth and approachability during close human interaction. For visual perception, the fusion of RGB-D depth cameras and LiDAR technology provides spatial awareness, enabling high-precision environmental mapping and autonomous navigation.
