MagicLab Signs RMB 150 Million Deal — the Largest Robotics Order in China's Home Healthcare Industry

TY_TABLE_OF_CONTENT [TY_HIDE]

MagicLab has signed a robotics procurement agreement worth RMB 150 million (approximately USD 21 million) — the largest single robotics order recorded in China's home healthcare industry to date. The deal marks MagicLab's first major commercial step into medical and health-focused robotics, extending the company's embodied AI platform beyond its established industrial and commercial deployments into the home.

MagicLab Signs RMB 150 Million Deal — the Largest Robotics Order in China's Home Healthcare Industry

A New Scenario: Smart Home Health Management

The contract centers on family-focused smart health services, covering in-home health management and intelligent companion care. Under the agreement, MagicLab will deliver an integrated package spanning customized smart hardware, home health solutions, and hands-on scenario experience — rather than a hardware sale alone. The deployment reflects a deliberate shift in MagicLab's go-to-market strategy: moving from standardized industrial and commercial use cases toward home environments, where success depends far more heavily on individual variation, continuity of care, and precise adaptation to each household's needs.

As part of the rollout, MagicLab will connect with 10,000 high-net-worth households, using the deployment to gather real-world usage data and user needs at scale — insight the company plans to feed back into coordinated improvements across its smart hardware, health programs, and service systems as it works toward scaled, replicable delivery in the home health category.

Why Home Healthcare, and Why Now

Home healthcare has become a national strategic priority in China, positioned as a key lever for stabilizing economic growth, improving public welfare, and addressing an aging population. MagicLab's entry into the sector is built on capabilities the company has spent years developing: full-stack, self-developed core technology, a complete product lineup spanning humanoids and quadrupeds, proven capability across multiple deployment scenarios, and a track record of delivering robotics projects at scale. Together, these give MagicLab the ability to match real household health needs precisely, backed by mature, reliable products and a systematic delivery framework — rather than a single-purpose device built for one narrow task.

Part of a Nine-Scenario Commercialization Strategy

The home healthcare deal is the newest addition to a broader commercialization push spanning nine scenario categories: industrial flexible manufacturing, inspection and security, smart guided tours, public safety, smart logistics, sports and entertainment, research and education, and home life — each with its own dedicated solution built to meet the specific operational demands of that industry.

In industrial manufacturing, MagicLab's integrated solution is built around three pillars — human-robot collaboration, flexible replacement of fixed automation, and 24-hour operation — enabling seamless integration into loading/unloading, inspection, assembly, and sorting tasks. The solution has already completed field testing across automotive components, 3C electronics, and smart manufacturing equipment production lines, hitting industry-leading benchmarks for task success rate and efficiency, and has moved into delivery at flagship reference factories as it scales toward broader deployment.

In public safety, MagicLab's smart policing solution — built directly around real operational needs — has established a "humanoid + quadruped" police coordination system with Wuxi traffic police, covering core scenarios including traffic management, patrol and response, and government-service support. MagicLab's traffic-management robot previously completed live traffic-direction and crowd-flow duties at the 2026 Wuxi Marathon, becoming, per the company, the first bipedal robot approved for traffic-officer duty at a large-scale public sporting event anywhere in the world. MagicLab has also entered a strategic partnership with the Wuxi Public Security Bureau to jointly develop and deploy solutions across the full range of policing functions — combat, prevention, management, control, and service — with the goal of building a nationally replicable model for smart policing.

In commercial guided tours, MagicLab's solution is built for zero-code deployment: venue staff can complete exhibit-hall mapping, waypoint setting, narration-script configuration, and gesture editing through simple operations, with no engineering support required. The robots support joystick-assisted mapping, autonomous navigation, and active obstacle avoidance — substantially lowering a venue's ongoing operating and management costs. MagicBot Gen1 is already deployed at the Beidou Demonstration Industrial Park exhibition center, delivering standing guided tours, VIP reception, intelligent Q&A, synced large-screen displays, and interactive check-in experiences — complete with autonomous navigation, multilingual narration, and face-recognition greetings — under a signed long-term service contract that has made the robot a standard fixture of the venue's visitor experience.

In research and education, MagicLab's embodied AI education solution is built on full-stack, self-developed technology and an integrated industry-education-research model spanning teaching, competition, certification, and career pathways. The offering covers teaching-grade hardware, core algorithms, and support for secondary development, helping universities train embodied AI talent across multiple skill levels. MagicLab has already partnered with top-tier institutions including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, and Nanjing University on joint research, core component development, campus application scenarios, and robotics competitions — building shared practice bases and innovation centers that connect research output directly to talent development.

In sports and entertainment, MagicLab's event-performance solution has matured into a fully standardized delivery system, capable of moving from site survey and solution design through equipment testing and live execution in as little as one week — genuinely repeatable, predictable, and scalable commercial delivery. At the recent opening ceremony of the Jiangsu Football Super League ("Su Chao"), MagicLab executed what the company describes as the industry's largest-scale heterogeneous robot swarm performance under outdoor rain and communication interference affecting tens of thousands of attendees — a further validation of its system-level scheduling capability and reliability under complex conditions.

In instant food delivery, aimed at reaching everyday consumers directly, MagicLab has built an innovative robotic delivery solution covering the full closed loop — autonomous order pickup, route planning, and building-level delivery — adaptable to high-density, high-complexity delivery environments. MagicLab recently partnered with Taobao Shangou to complete the industry's first full-process robotic delivery deployment in a complex university campus environment, at Renmin University of China and Beijing Sport University, becoming the first embodied-AI brand to achieve a closed-loop delivery deployment in a high-frequency food-delivery use case — a replicable template for smart, city-wide instant delivery.

    Leadership Perspective

MagicLab President Gu Shitao described the RMB 150 million order as a milestone that fuses technical innovation with real commercial value — and a critical marker of embodied AI's transition from the lab into genuine industrial deployment. Looking ahead, the company says it will continue deepening R&D and scenario deployment, accelerating its "Thousand Scenarios Co-Creation Plan" to bring humanoid robots into broader use across home healthcare, high-end manufacturing, logistics services, public safety, commercial entertainment, and home life — aiming to define a new commercial benchmark for humanoid robotics through best-in-class products and full-stack technical capability, and to help position China's embodied AI industry as a global leader.
