At its 2025 Global Partner Conference, MagicLab unveiled a wheeled humanoid robot purpose-built for retail environments, demonstrated live performing in-store picking and delivery tasks — an early public preview of the platform that would go on to become MagicBot D1.
Why it matters for retail chains evaluating early access: Watching a platform's public debut, before it's a finished commercial product, gives retail partners a read on the underlying engineering direction — and in this case, the roadmap from that first demo to the fully developed D1 platform (see Case 3 below) is now a matter of public record, not a promise.
