Throughout the summit, Xiaomai used its multimodal interaction capability to handle bilingual (Chinese-English) reception and guidance, ring a bell to signal meeting timing, and distribute tea-break refreshments — service tasks that require reading a room of high-profile, unpredictable attendees rather than following a fixed script. Its performance earned strong praise from JPMorgan executives and other attendees, marking the first time a China-developed bipedal humanoid has taken on functional service work at a top-tier international finance summit. MagicLab's investment team also joined related discussions at a Goldman Sachs roundtable held during the summit.
Why it matters for corporate and financial-sector clients: Finance summits are among the least forgiving environments for any technology demo — the audience is disproportionately skeptical, senior, and time-constrained. Earning direct praise from banking executives in that room is a stronger credibility signal for enterprise buyers than almost any trade-show reception could provide.
